Auto sales training is definitely not what it used to be.
In the 70's, you could walk onto an auto dealers showroom floor, ask for a job and be selling a car that afternoon.
No experience, no background to speak of, as well as (generally) no character.
The 80's changed little; however, technology began to take hold.
Software began making its first entry into the world of auto sales.
Consequently, auto sales training moved in a completely new direction with the first introduction and integration of technology.
Things were on the move.
The 90's introduced many changes.
The market became extremely competitive, as technology continued to advance.
Dealerships in the 90's began to embrace technology, albeit slowly.
Websites were being developed by every type of market.
More and more dealers began realizing that having a website was no longer a luxury, but a necessity.
With technology really beginning to take off, dealers were able to integrate many of their core processes, including auto sales training, creating a more cohesive dealership.
Then came the year 2000, ushering in the 21st century.
Dealers in this century have realized that in order to remain not only competitive, but just to remain on the map, they have to set themselves apart from the rest of their competition.
They must take their auto sales training to the next level.
Just over 30 years ago, a guy could get a job and begin making sales that afternoon?now there are comprehensive auto sales training programs that manufacturers are making mandatory.
Sales certification is on the rise and becoming a major incentive for the actual sales representatives in order to earn more income directly from the manufacturers themselves.
Technology has changed the way we train our staff.
Once upon a time, the computer was just a neat piece of equipment that took up space and required a ton of time just to learn how to operate.
Today, with the ease of use, and vast array of applications, it has become a core aspect of every part of every business in the world.
Dealerships can engage distance programs in some of the best auto sales training programs available.
By simply logging into a web application, sales reps of dealerships all around the country can engage in timely and informative sales strategies, no longer limited to what their individual sales managers can teach.
Today, in addition to technology, many other aspects of auto sales training have changed.
Customer service, client retention, relationship building, prospecting, negotiation strategies, etc, are all huge aspects that dealerships today focus on in the auto sales training process.
Gone are the days where a guy/gal can simply go to a dealership, apply for a job?and within hours find themselves standing in front of a prospect wanting to buy the latest 2006 model.
It just doesn't work like that any longer.
Dealers need to ensure that they not only have a professionally trained staff, but also one that has an incredible amount of character.
Although many areas of sales have been criticized for years as being "shysters" and "unscrupulous," fortunately this is an area that the majority of dealers in the US have shed nicely.
By implementing new and technologically innovative methods in the auto sales training process, dealers have enabled their organizations to not only have a well informed staff, but also a more informed and receptive audience.
Auto dealers in the US have used technology to their advantage, and in the end we have all benefited.
By creating an auto sales training process that takes advantage of these advances addressed above, dealerships have begun to really connect with their buying public.
This has enabled respectable dealerships to really become a huge part of their local communities, which in the end is good for us all.
Better relationships equal better prices.

Sales Training Means Business
by: Sherry Harris
You can be a master in producing world-class products and may be among the best in the business, but that is not enough.
You have to sell the product and anytime and anywhere in the world convincing a consumer is not an easy task.
It is a well-accepted perception that to sell a product in numbers, product quality is not always the top priority.
It has been observed that a reasonable product can outnumber a superior product by selling more units.
It may sound harsh but it is a fact and the corporate world agrees with it.
So we can conclude that selling a product is a craft and sales pundits nurture that and try to refine it everyday. To attain this craft we have to get sales training under the supervision of these pundits and professionals.
In sales training a set of steps are taught that need to be adhered to sell products. These are:

Increase Your Profits by Training your people
by: Lorraine Pirihi
Hi!
What impression do outsiders get when they call your business?
Is it a welcoming greeting such as "Thank you for calling The Office Organiser, this is Lorraine", or do they hear:
"Lorraine's phone"
"Hold the line" (before you even speak)
"Hold the line please" (before you have even opened your mouth)
"Lorraine speaking" (doesn't even mention the name of the business)
or they speak so fast you miss the name of the organisation and have to check you rang the right number.
Sometimes the initial contact has been positive only to be let down when the person has said:
"Hold the line for a tick/sec"
"I need to find a piece of paper to write your message down"
"Can you hold on while I find a pen"
"Just a tick, I'll pop you on hold"
"Alright, I'll see if she's available"

Training The Dog To Come When It Is Called
by: Waylon Harvey
Training a dog to come when it is called is a vital, and potentially life saving, part of any successful dog training program. All properly trained dogs must learn to respond instantly to the owner?s voice, and the sooner this lesson is learned the better.
The advantages of teaching a dog to come when called are obvious. For starters, coming when called will help you regain control of the dog in case of collar break, snapped leash or other similar equipment failure. This is particularly important when you are out with your dog, especially in an area with lots of traffic. It is vital that the dog respond to your voice and return to your side, even in the absence of collar and leash, and even if there are lots of other things competing for its attention.
Coming when called is also a vital skill for every working dog. Whether the dog?s job is herding sheep, guarding livestock...

Forex Training: What to Look for in a Forex Training Program
by: Raul Lopez
Should new Forex traders take Forex trading courses or join a Forex training program? Definitely yes; by now you have probably heard that only 5% of traders achieve consistent profitable results when trading the Forex market. The main reason for this is the lack of education. Don?t get me wrong here, taking a Forex training program or a Forex trading course won?t guarantee profitable results, nothing can, but choosing the right Forex training program or Forex trading course will definitely put the odds in your favor.
Before spending any amount of money on any Forex trading course or Forex training program there are some important aspects you need to take in consideration. There are many training programs available, but not every one of them suits the needs of every trader.
The first thing you should be looking in a Forex training program is the content of the...

Sales Training Success Tip - Take Responsibility for Your Results
by: Ike Krieger
You've has a tough day, maybe even a tough month. I walk up to you and utter these words, "You are responsible for your results."
What do you think about that?
When you hear me say that you're totally responsible for the results you produce in your business---you might jump to a conclusion. You may even think that I'm suggesting that you should take the blame for your results.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
By taking responsibility for your results and your outcomes--- you grant yourself great power.
If you acknowledge that you're truly responsible for the way your projects end ---good or bad--- you give yourself great power. You can use this newly discovered power to make your projects end up another, possibly more desirable way.
Before I go on, let's agree on a few things.
The first agreement: The results you produce...

Clicker Training for Dogs
by: Stephanie Bayliss
What is a ?clicker??
A clicker is simply a small plastic box, containing a metal plate which, when pressed, makes a ?click? sound.
What is clicker training?
Clicker Training is a method of ?positive reinforcement training? ? that is, rewarding the behaviours that we like instead of punishing behaviours that we don?t like. When the dog does what we want him to do, we ?click? and give him a treat.
So, we train the dog to understand that the ?click? means ?well done? and that a treat is coming.
Benefits of Clicker Training
The benefit of the clicker is that it makes a consistent sound and we can make the sound at the very moment that the dog is carrying out the behaviour that we like. The dog will learn to associate the good behaviour with the ?click? and the forthcoming treat, and will learn to repeat the behaviour.
Of course, we can be positive just by saying...
